Adil Riaz, a 20-year-old from Mandhole, a village near the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir, was born without arms. Despite this significant physical challenge, Adil has become a symbol of resilience. Adil Riaz has proven that nothing is impossible with determination. Born without arms, he has excelled in school, securing top marks in both matriculation and FSC exams. Writing with his feet, Adil’s hard work and focus made him a position holder. His teachers and parents supported him every step of the way.
“Even without hands, I can do everything myself—eat, drink, study, and write. My family never made me feel like I was missing anything. With Allah’s help, I’ll keep working hard and achieve even more,” says Adil. His story is a testament to resilience and the power of believing in yourself.
From a young age, Adil developed a deep passion for cricket. He learned to play cricket, and today, he’s the captain of his local cricket team. Moreover, Adil’s abilities on the field are nothing short of extraordinary. He hits sixes and fours with ease, bowls wickets. Adil shared that his teammates are incredibly supportive and work together as a close-knit unit. “There are times when we face financial challenges, but everyone contributes whatever they can to buy equipment like balls, tape, or other necessities. The team’s cooperation and solidarity make all the difference,” he said, emphasizing the strong bond and mutual support within their cricket community.
Adil dreams of being selected for the disabled cricket team, where he believes he can showcase his skills on a larger platform. His wish is to represent Azad Kashmir at a national level and make his country proud.
